I’m thrilled to announce that I have been accepted as a Hi-ARTS 2024-25 CRITICAL BREAKS Artist in Residence. During my time in residence, I will continue the development of Twelve Angry Black Women. CRITICAL BREAKS is a residency program for artists who are in a pivotal phase of developing new work.
Storytelling for Social Good — a Level Forward workshop co-created and facilitated by myself and art doula, Dria Brown — has traveled to major conferences and gatherings across the country in 2024, including Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and Tribeca Film Festival.
During my time as a ‘23-’24 NYTW 2050 Artistic Fellow, I developed a new full-length play, Twelve Angry Black Women, and a new one-woman show, Medicine Woman.
